'hospitality at its best...'

We have four letting rooms above the restaurant ; two of which are ensuite. To help you think about planning your visit, our rooms are as follows:

Knoydart accomodation at it's best

Room 1 Twin Room with own washbasin, window seat
Room 2 Double Room with extra single bed; own shower and WC; sea view and window seat
Room 3 Twin Room with own shower and WC; sea view
Room 4 Double Room with extra single bed; own washbasin, window seat

All the rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and lots of holiday reading. We don't provide trouser presses or television. We don't even have a TV ourselves. There's plenty of home-spun entertainment here in Knoydart! knoydart - accomodation

We've heard that out in the real world people use these things called mobile phones all the time - they don't work here - no reception in the village, though we understand that if you walk 5 miles west and up a bit you can sometimes get a signal. What a shame. We do have an ordinary pay phone you can use and we have a Post Office in the village which sells stamps so you can send the odd letter.

Oh… and just so we don't look too old-fashioned… there is now a public access internet computer in the Knoydart Foundation Display Room.

We do not take dogs (or indeed any other kinds of pets).

After ten years at the Pier House we have decided to take a sabbatical in 2009, and will not therefore be taking any bookings for this period. If you are intending to visit Knoydart in 2009 we suggest you look at Knoydart Foundation website for a full list of accommodation and food providers.

Our email is set up for automatic “out of office” replies but we will respond personally to emails from time to time.

Have a good year and enjoy your travels wherever you end up.
